The U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence and TRADOC Capability Manager for Biometrics
and Forensics gathered more than 600 Government, Military, Academia, and Industry together for the 2010 Annual Biometrics and Forensics
Summit at the Manchester Grand Hyatt on March 30 – April 1.
Major General John M. Custer, Commanding General, USAICoE and Fort Huachuca, kicked off the summit with an interactive 3-D presentation.
The keynote speakers opened each morning with engaging presentations on the continuing development of biometrics and forensics. Attendees were then given the option to attend seven different breakouts to discuss topics in greater detail. They shared ideas on standards, training, and certification and also discussed progress in the community as well as the focus for the future. Attendees were also given the opportunity to visit the Technology Exposition, which featured 39 companies eager to demonstrate their role in biometrics and forensics and how their products and services could meet the needs of the community. Speakers, attendees, and exhibitors conversed and relaxed at the All-Hands Networking Social, courtesy of SAIC and Oberon, Stanley Division, on Tuesday evening. The social mimicked a pirate’s cove with a steel band and a pirate with a parrot! Thank you to all of the participants for your help in making this summit a success!
