Tucson International Airport (TUS) is approximately 75 miles and driving time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca. It is roughly a 3-hour drive from the Phoenix area.

Driving Directions

From Phoenix/Tucson Area:

• Take I-10 East to Exit 302 Highway 90 South – towards Fort Huachuca/Sierra Vista
• Turn right onto 90 South
• 90 South will veer to the left, but stay straight on Buffalo Soldier Trail
• Turn right onto Fry Boulevard, to the Main Gate of Fort Huachuca

From El Paso:

• Take I-10 West to Exit 302 Highway 90 South – towards Fort Huachuca/Sierra Vista
• Turn right onto 90 South
• 90 South will veer to the Left, but stay straight on Buffalo Soldier Trail.
• Turn right onto Fry Boulevard, to the Main Gate of Fort Huachuca

From Main Gate:

*Please note – if you did NOT attend the registration mixer, you will need to go into the Visitor’s Center to get your vehicle pass.

• You will reach the inspection point at the Main Gate.
• Please have one form of photo ID ready
• Proceed through the Main Gate on Squire Avenue
• Turn right on Winrow Road
• Turn right on Arizona
• The Barnes Field House (BFH) is located on the corner of Hatfield and Arizona

Seven rental car agencies are located at Tucson International Airport.

Arizona Stagecoach operates shared-ride van service for each arriving flight. Service includes transportation to hotels, resorts, the University of Arizona, and business or residence locations.

Hotel/resort rates range from $5 to $48 per person depending on location. Rates to residences, contracted hotels and businesses range from $17 to $61 per person depending on location. Group and family rates are available. The reservation desk is located in the center corridor of the baggage claim level.
