about Unified Cross Domain Management Office (ucdmo)

Established in July 2006, all Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) cross domain efforts now fall under the jurisdiction of the Unified Cross Domain Management Office (UCDMO).

Mission

The UCDMO provides centralized coordination and oversight of all cross domain initiatives across the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

UCDMO Goals

OPTIMIZE CAPABILITIES: Drive robust and extensible cross domain capabilities to support a secure and integrated information enterprise.

OVERSEE RESOURCES: Maximize return on cross domain investments, reduce duplication of effort, and increase efficiency of cross domain activities.

MITIGATE RISK: Support risk-based decisions by enabling global awareness of cross domain operational connections.

PROVIDE LEADERSHIP: Provide leadership across the interagency spectrum to ensure coordinated cross domain governance, oversight and community reciprocity.

UCDMO Functions

  1. Developing a process of managing DoD and IC investments as they relate to cross domain solutions.
  2. Assisting the DoD and IC in addressing cross domain functional needs, based on approved and validated priorities.
  3. Developing and managing a Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Roadmap that will identify short, medium, and long term capabilities.
