EVENTS WITH POSTED COVID-19 UPDATES
Given recent developments with the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), many events are currently being rescheduled. With the amount of registered attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors for each event, we want to make this a smooth transition for all participants. As soon as we receive an update from a government host, we will post the update on the event’s website and email all registered participants. Please contact your NCSI point of contact with any questions. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all navigate these uncertain times. We are committed to ensuring the success, safety, and overall positive experience of these important events.
A current list of events that have been impacted by COVID-19 is below. Please click on the name of the event to be directed to the event website. These are updated daily as we receive news from our government hosts.
COVID-19 PROTOCOL
The recent situation with the coronavirus is changing daily so we remain watchful, but also focused on delivering safe, secure, and successful events for all participants.
We plan to speak regularly with the government hosts of each event to be able to offer the timeliest information to all participants. If any event needs to be rescheduled, notice will go out to all registered exhibitors and attendees and will include details regarding rescheduling. We will also post information on the individual event websites.
At this point, with the rapidly changing environment surrounding COVID-19, there are still many unknowns. We plan to evaluate each event 2 months prior to the scheduled date with the guidance from the government sponsors and local and federal health officials. We will then inform any registrants if changes need to be made. Updates will be made if necessary, as more information becomes available.
While COVID-19 is a global health concern, it’s our collective responsibility to focus on facts and use common sense and sound judgement to not spread unnecessary panic. It is important to follow official health and travel advisories. We will continue to closely monitor travel updates from the CDC as well as advisories from the State Department.
NCSI will continue to honor our exhibitor contracts and policies which allow for flexibility and changes, as we always have in the past.
We strongly encourage attendees and exhibitors to follow the guidance of the CDC for everyday preventative actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses:
- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when sick.
- Cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
